Brunch with Panache presented by Josh Habdas

Josh Habdas (@jhabdas) a Web Platform Engineer at Trunk Club (@TrunkClubTech) will demo his development pipeline for creating lightning-fast single page applications, as will demo an e-commerce search application built with it that sports sub-second page loads, back and forward button support, product search deep-linking and ~200ms search result listings with a page that updates in place, based on a single 1KB ajax request.

Great night. Again, we could have had some better turnout. Trunk Club was very generous with food and snacks and we left a lot.

As a follow-up to a question asked yesterday I didn't have an answer for, the auto-reload functionality in Brunch uses Websockets. As mentioned, the style rules are applied seamlessly (i.e. no page reload) as described in the plug-in documentation here: https://github.com/brunch/auto-reload-brunch

I will not be able to make it. Working late. I hope this is enough time for someone else. I'm changing my RSVP status.

Thanks for the github link Josh! Unfortunately, I have to cancel. Sorry for the short notice if there is a wait list.

No worries, Vinson. I'll post the slide deck here just prior to the event. It will cover the Panache development approach, architecture, features and a slew of design patterns for individuals to use when building SPAs with our stack and when building with Backbone in general.

Hey all. We're very excited to have you at Trunk Club office for tonight's event. When you arrive at the Life Storage building, just hop in the front elevator and head up to the 7th floor. Jean Bahnik will be there directing people to the meeting room from there. Presentation will start at 6:30. We'll have pizza and salad starting around 6pm so you all can get a quick bite before the talk and demo starts. Looking forward to seeing everyone here or, if you can't make it, at The Green Door after the event.

If you have any questions or special needs, please let me know - we're happy to assist.

The Green Door is just up Orleans from the Trunk Club. Anybody up for post-event pints?

Draft highlights include Stone IPA, Green Door Ale and Sawtooth Ale. The bottles list is pretty solid - http://www.greendoorc...

GDT? YES! Plus, I live across the street from Green Door Tavern... Post-Post Event Drinks on the Deck? I think maybe...
