Crisp's "Korean fried chicken" is incredibly delicious and their staff is very friendly. I've heard good things about their "Buddha Bowls," too. http://www.crisponline.com/crisp.aspx It's an odd place and very different from our usual locations, but I like it.
They do not reserve space, so I will be there EARLY (planning on noonish, if you'd like to join me) to try to nab one of the multiple big tables for our group. The staff didn't expect us to have any problem finding space on a Thursday afternoon, but if something weird happens, Bow Truss coffee shop is next door (amazing beverages and people but terrible chairs and, if I remember correctly, no food), Pastoral is across the street, and Aje is a block away.
As decided by the group, we will now be on a THREE week rotation with Saugatuck Cafe, Aje, and field trips to different cafes around the greater Lakeview-ish area. Be sure to check the meetup site to see where we are.
Please feel free to make suggestions for Field Trip days. We are always happy to try a new place! (Keep in mind we need enough space to accommodate a group sitting for several hours.)
We'll be charging the $1 Meetup fee.
