Why did you first get interested in knitting?

My mother and grandmother both knitted, and I was fascinated with the idea that a single strand of yarn could become something useful and lovely. I started knitting as a teenager, continued as a young adult, and then took a hiatus for over 30 years.

Who taught you to knit?

My grandmother taught me to knit. It was not an easy task, as I am left handed, and she was not. She was so patient as she helped me figure out how to make it work for me.

How long have you been knitting?

This time, for about three years.

I am a recently retired Middle School teacher. I moved here from Atlanta to be near my only son, my daughter-in-law, and grandson.
