Chicago Knitters Unite! Message Board › Sweater needed for a SHORT FILM!!!!
I am directing a short film and a key prop is a bulky, white or off white hand-knit sweater. In the film, Margot has knit her new boyfriend a sweater that is not really his style and WAY too big. She takes it out to measure how long the arms and collar need to be, so it is nearly finished.
If you are interested in having your work featured in a film, this could be right up your alley. We are filming August 10-13, so we would need it done by the 10th at the latest. Please note, Margot is a beginner, so the sweater can be very simple, large gauge yarn, and not perfect.
The film, Stage 3, is the third in a 5-part series of comedic short films based on the five stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. The first two premiered at the Los Angeles International Shorts Festival, and Stage 1 premiered on television last February.
We can offer: coverage of yarn expenses, credit in the film, film stills featuring the sweater and a finished copy of the film. Please note: this is not a student production.
Thanks so much!!!
