Two-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race. (Lionsgate)

Here's a quote I found from the web:
My only real complaint (other than the fact that the trio of folks behind me consisted of a chronic throat clearer, a gabby mother, and a sarcastic frequent commenter) is the zealousness with which the brothers Spierig go after their R-rating. I like watching bodies explode into bloody chunks as much as the next guy, but good googily! I can still hear the squish-squish of the various scenes where bodies are being completely dismembered and thrown about.

I'm still unsure if I should see this in the theater. I am such a wimp with horror on the big screen, though I've heard it's more intellectual and not so much with the scary.
