Hello Everyone,

It's that time of year again! To those who volunteered last year, thank you again for all your hard work. It was our most successful year to date!

We're hoping you would like to come volunteer again this year for the 8th Annual Fair, on Nov. 20-21 at Navy Pier, Festival Hall B.

We need volunteers for Fair set-up day, Friday Nov. 19th:
1st Shift: 8am to1pm; 2nd Shift: 1pm to 5pm
On this day you would be assisting with unpacking and setting up registration, and then assisting with Exhibitor registration and hospitality.

On Saturday the 20th we need volunteers for the following shifts:
1st Shift: 7am to 11am
2nd Shift: 11am to 3 pm
3rd Shift: 2pm to 6 pm

On Sunday the 21st we need volunteers for the following shifts:
1st Shift: 9am to 1pm
2nd Shift: 1pm to 5pm

Please let me know which day and shift you prefer. If your schedule is such that it doesn't fit into an exact shift, we can probably accommodate your requested hours. Below is a description of the main assignments for volunteers.

Thank you!

Assignments for Saturday and Sunday:

1. ChiTag Hospitality: We need several people to help manage the exhibit hall floor. This means anything from staffing an exhibitor's booth while they dash to the bathroom, to being their gopher/runner, to greeting people at the door, to helping other attendees have a good time. You'll even be helping out the sports mascots.

2. Exhibitor, Media, and Trade Registration: We need lots of help processing these groups and giving them the information they need to have a successful show.

3. Scout and Educator Registration: Scouts and Teachers get in free, but we collect their email addresses when we give them their ticket.

Volunteers receive free 2-day passes to ChiTag. And volunteers are invited to the home of Mary Couzin for a post-show party on Monday night on the 22nd.

The bigger a show gets, the more support it takes to make it a success, and that all starts with the community. Its really going to be a special year for ChiTag this year, and we're hoping you'll be a part of it.
