Meet many kinds of turtles and tortoises and their humans at this annual event of the Chicago Turtle Club. You probably will not see so many different kinds of turtles and tortoises up close anywhere else. The Turtle Club folks will be glad to tell you all about their turtles and tortoises. They can advise you about the care of these reptiles and answer all those turtle questions you've always wondered about. This is a great event for the whole family, so please do bring the kids! And maybe bring a picnic lunch! Take a stroll through the nature center's woodlands and prairie and visit the pond (See map link below). More about North Park Village Nature Center: North Park Village Nature Center is located on the northwest side of Chicago and includes a forty-six acre nature preserve and also an educational facility. The Nature Center and preserve are situated within the North Park Village complex, a cluster of buildings located on approximately 155 acres of land. The nature preserve features trails that wind through woodlands, wetlands, praire and savannas. A discovery room, a hands-on table of natural objects and interactive displays are highlights of the Nature Center.
