Getting to Know Nuclear Energy: The Past, Present & Future

Argonne National Laboratory was founded on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and has pioneered many of the technologies in use today. Argonne's Roger Blomquist will discuss the history of nuclear energy, advanced reactor designs and future technologies, all aimed at the safe, sustainable, and secure use of nuclear power worldwide.

The event will take place at the Argonne Advanced Pnoton Source Auditorium and will include light refreshments and a poster session preceding the lecture.

Lectures are free and open to the public. Advanced registration is required.

    Basic information, which would be expected for general public lecture, but it was a good start for our group to have an interesting discussion afterwards. Was nice that we stopped at Denny's afterwards for more discussion.
