I look forward to returning to this group and becoming involved, thank you for the opportunity. The Web Series presentation was good but I have two items I'd like to express to the group. First, I think we all can agree the writing philosophy expressed in the presentation probably is the biggest problem of the whole work, "I think of an action, look at what characters I need then think of dialog to add..." Paraphrasing but that is pretty tough way to write a good/meaningful script. Secondly, being motivated and enamored by higher production value only works if you fully embrace the ramifications - the sweaty, pale, blemished actors (due to hot set lights, and obviously no make-up budget/schedule) ruins the whole purpose of a higher production value (translation - camera that picks up every pore)!

I would like to ask others about their experience in pitching their screenplays to producers in the film industry in S. California. What did you learn from the experience and what did you find to have an impact?

There is a festival on Chicago Ave. I'm going early to enjoy the fun. Anyone want to join us? Parking may be tough so take public transportation and relax. It's summertime in Chi-cago! And that's a good thing! Plus we have the 4-5 pm event!
