Susan and team did a fabulous job getting everything ready and taking care of the food and other arrangements. I have been on professionally-guided trips that did not equal Susan's standards of service! Many thanks.

I'm thinking about bringing some board games this weekend. Would anyone be interested in playing some games if I brought a few?

Hi all, I am trying to get a ride or get people to ride with me ,to leave Schaumburg at 3:30 on Friday. Anyone available?

    March 13, 2013

    • Susan S

Can I forward you info to a few people on the trip? There are a few looking to ride share.

      March 13, 2013

    • Laurie T.

      Yes, please

Hi Susan, Sorry this is so late, but I had some last minute things to check on. I really want to go if it's still OK. I also left a message on your voice mail

Only if you have been diving here before. For safety concerns only 14 divers are in a trail group. Trails 1-4 are packed. I already tried to add people this past weekend. So sorry I am unable to accommodate you this year. Will be going again again next year. Sign-up will begin about November 1.

Thanks for your reply. I should have signed up much earlier. Have a great time.

There are scuba shops that do rent dry suits for weekends. I would check with your favorite shop first. I am wearing a 7 ml full wet suits plus a 7 ml long sleeve shorty. Wish I could have ordered my dry suit for this trip.

    March 3, 2013

    • Susan S

My 7ml is thinner than my 5ml. Most diver dive in a 7 ml wetsuit.

I am hoping many of these conversations and questions will be addressed at the pre dive meeting on Sunday, including departure time and car pooling. Or is all this to be decided now?

    March 4, 2013

    • Susan S

Yes, these will be addressed at the pre-dive meeting. It will help to know the earliest you can depart. The mines are located one hour south of St. Louis. I plan on leaving about 12 noon so I will arrive about 6 pm. The hotel will have the rooming list prior to that time if anyone get there before I do.

At that temp I prefer using a dry suit, do you have any rentals?
Also, I could drive/provide car pool once I am 100% certain I can come.
    So exciting!

    March 3, 2013

    • Susan S

      Hope you can come along.

Do you know what trails are going out?

    March 3, 2013

    • Susan S

We have groups on 1-4, 5-8, and 10-14. Not sure if there are groups scheduled for any higher trails. I can find out if interested, just let me know. There is still room on this trip, we had a good time last year.

What time are we leaving on Friday? Trying to figure out if I can work a half day or not.

    February 19, 2013

    • Susan S

I am leaving about 12 noon and plan on arriving about 6 pm. We are going out to dinner about 7:30 and have a group meeting with snacks about 9:00. You can make specific plans with your carpool at the pre-trip meeting March 10. Hope the info helps.
