Have averaged about 10 dives a year since I started in 2003. Would love to do a lot more!
Attending a training and dive experience day sponsored by the Diveheart Foundation. I've never seen so many people helping and learning from each other. What was really neat was that everyone was playing roles as both teacher and student.
To improve my knowledge and appreciation of the sport and to do some diving.
Fresh water: Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, various inland lakes in Northern-lower Michigan -- Salt water: Grand Cayman, Belize (Ambergris), Bahamas (liveaboard), Roatan, Bonaire, Fiji
Certified in the summer of 2003. As of February 2010, I've logged about 90 dives.
CSM is a great group dedicated to the enjoyment and advancement of scuba as well as the health of Earth's aquatic environment. CSM features a good mix of discussion and "fins-on" activities.
Would it be possible to do a Google+ Meetup?
Maybe we could use a Google+ Hangout for a meeting?
Welcome to Chicago and to CSM;
Keep an eye on the posts for meeting info, and any upcoming dives. if you don't see anything you like, feel free to post and leave enough time for a response.
In the summer, we often meet a Haigh Quarry near Kankakee, great quarry diveing. There are charters on the big lake also, as well as monthly meetings. Members have a wide range of experience, come out and share your experience and knowlege.
