Bloggers Meet Startups: Introducing Kauzu

Hello All,

There’s no doubt that Chicago is home to many awesome startups. Everything from web-based applications to online publishing and beyond. And they're all happening right here in the Windy City!

Since there are so many cool projects happening around us, Heather and I thought it would be a good idea to use this meetup group to build a small group and start connecting bloggers with area startups:

How cool! Right!

Here’s what we aim to accomplish with Bloggers Meet Startups:

  1. Form collaborations, build synergies
  2. Help document all of the good things happening right here in Chicago
  3. Find ways for startups and bloggers to possibly help each other out

That being said... we’re super happy to announce our first official Bloggers Meet Startups with a local startup called Kauzu. Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 6PM as we connect with the Kauzu team to talk about their mobile job search application. Refreshments and snacks will be provided (with thanks) by Front & Social.

The Kauzu team has really done a great job of building this very useful product and this is a somewhat limited opportunity to get a chance to mingle with the founder and his team. We look forward to doing this more often in the future.

Here's some information about Kauzu:

Kauzu is a social venture dedicated to transforming how job seekers and employers connect. Right now Kauzu is focused on restoring the vitality of some of Chicago's hardest hit communities with our recent introduction of a free mobile applications that help jobseekers overcome the barriers that keep them from finding great jobs.

Launching a startup is never easy, but Kauzu has taken on the additional challenges of a socially responsible mission because helping people with the greatest economic need enhances opportunities and quality of life for everyone. We look forward to connecting our users -- please help us grow our online community so more people know about our goals and our innovations. More at kauzu.com

If you know of any awesome startups or maybe you are working on a startup of your own, please feel free to contact us and we’ll try to work something out.

Here’s more need to know information on the event. Don't forget to bring business cards to pass.

Event Location: 9 W. Washington, 4th Floor - Chicago, IL 60602 |

Map

This event will be held in a conference room within a collaborative workspace. When you arrive and when you leave, please be curious to others who might be working while our event is happening.

Because this is a fairly small space, I need to limit the group to 10 people. If you register and the event is full, you may be turned away at the door. If you register and then you can't make it, please adjust your RSVP so others may attend.

Cost: FREE

We hope you can join us!
