Join us to ring in a New Year and a new season for The Chicago English Bulldog Meetup Group. 2013 marks our 8th year of bringing social events to English Bulldog owners in the tri-state area.
Looking back, it has been an amazing 8 years from our first event in January 2005 on Belmont Ave. in a venue where the heat went out on a sub-zero weekend!
In addition to celebrating a new year for CEBMG, our January event will be a very special event celebrating a new beginning for adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue. adoptBull is a new English Bulldog rescue group in our area founded on November 30, 2012 by 15 English Bulldog rescue veterans. In less than 2 months they have made quite an impact on bulldog rescue in our area. With an aggregate of over 50 years of bulldog and rescue experience, adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue has begun working cooperatively with most other rescue groups and with shelters across Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri and Iowa to assure that no bulldog that is suitable for rescue is delayed or denied the care they need.
Please plan on stopping by to meet the volunteers of this exciting new group. We will be serving champagne and cake to toast their new beginning and wish them well. All gate proceeds and merchandise sales will benefit adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue at this fundraiser. adoptaBull apparel items will be available at this event so you can pick up a tee shirt, crew sweat shirt or fleece hoodie with their great logo. All major credit and debit cards will be accepted for both admission and merchandise purchases.
Our host venue Best Friends has a free parking lot and there is plenty of close street parking available on both Beasly Ct. and Elston Ave.
The forecast is for a great weather day before a cold snap so come on out and join us for 2.5 hours of fun and offer your support for a great new rescue group just by attending!
The event starts at 1PM and is an extended 2.5 hour format ending at 3:30PM. We'll see you there.
