Would you be interested in starting this, say, an hour late? It looks like the worst of it should be clearing up pretty soon (if it hasn't already). If not, that's fine, but just thought I'd ask. =)

OK Soldier Field was just evacuated (precautionary) , and they are going to close down Lake Shore Drive for a little while. Stay home folks, stay safe.

Tornado warnings. A water spout on the lake. superball hail. 60mph gusts. I'd rather people Be Safe and We'll get together in December. I'll be around, but I suggest staying at home today.

Games tend to be euro strategy, casual beer and pretzels, party games, card games, etc. Tends not to be hardcore wargames etc. We even had a rather nice someone teach Mah Jong once. Oliver and Dan (and this time Jorie) are all great teachers and bring games to share. You're encouraged to bring a game, and the willingness to teach it, but it is not mandatory.

Parking is free since it is Sunday in the city, but catch as catch can. Being cold and autumn, there is usually less people going to the park/zoo/museums so easier parking.

Worst case scenario is that there is a parking lot across the street for $16 (only $9 if you visit the Chicago History museum). Enter at 1730 North Stockton Drive, Chicago, IL 60614
