Chicago Go Club at Argo Tea - Lakeview

The oldest board game in the world, Go combines the simplest of rules with the deepest of strategy.

An abstract game of territorial control, attack and retreat, feints and deception, life and death - there is much here that strategy gamers of all types are sure to love!

The Chicago Go Club has been meeting for years, but we are always happy to teach new players, and each week we have players ranging in skill from brand-new beginners to intermediate amateurs to advanced veterans.  People generally start showing up around 6, but the atmosphere is very informal and players come and go throughout the evening - so feel free to come on in and introduce yourself at any time!

We generally have at least a dozen regulars show up each week, and advertise elsewhere as well - so please don't be discouraged if the number of RSVPs here seem low.  Also, feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions, or learn more at

Hi Sonya. We are a group with approximately 15 regular members who get together once a week to play go, a board game vaguely similar to chess with fewer pieces, simpler rules, and much more complicated strategy. We meet at Argo Tea in Lakeview from approximately 6-11 every Tuesday to play. Players of all levels are welcome, from beginners who don't even know the rules to advanced players. We are more than happy to teach you if you don't know how to play. Let me know if you have any more questions and we hope to see you there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
