Greetings And Salutations Inventors, Tinkerers, Makers And The Greatly Curious,
Come out for a discussion of inventions, ideas, design concepts, brainstorms, manufacturing processes, visions, patents and trademarks! It'll include talking about getting prototypes made, finding sources for materials, comparing manufacturing processes, searching for helps and so on. Every month is different!
We've bounced around for a while (months / years), but it looks like we've got a place to meet, not permanently confirmed but I wanted to get the word out. We're going to be at the Independence Tap, a tavern, one of my favorite watering holes. We'll be in their back room. Full bar but a lttle limited on the bar food. It's just 20 minutes north of downtown by car, and near the Blue Line, walking distance.
Blue Line to Irving/Pulaski, walk northwest on the platform, descend to the sidewalk, turn left, walk east past the Walgreens, and cross both streets to the Mobil station. Continue east past the Mobil to Harding Street and walk into the Independence Tap. Total hike is 100 yards.
Exit the northbound Kennedy at Pulaski, turn right at Irving Park (Route 19) and look for street parking. Or exit the southbound Kennedy at Irving Park, follow it past Pulaski and look for street parking. Total drive on streets is 1/4 mile.
You'll find the Independence Tap on the northwest corner of Harding and Irving Park
BETTER PARKING ? --
Go north on Pulaski one long block, right turn to Belle Plaine, east one short block to Harding, south almost to Irving Park and swing into the little parking lot behind the tavern.
If you circle around the neighborhood, its tricky, many one-ways and some resident only blocks also.
Bill, give me a call!
Yours In Inventing,
John I Lund
