Busse Woods - SLOWER RIDERS!!!

  • June 9, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The Busse Woods is an asphalt-paved trail.  It has an (approximately) 7.3 mile loop.  It now has a new bridge; so, we never have to cross the street and wait at the light.

If you're a slower rider because your either new at the sport or haven't ridden in a while come out & join us!  Ultimately, the goal is to build speed and stamina.    We will try to ride 8 to 10 mph depending on the group and do one or two loops depending on our comfort zones.  If you can't complete a loop that's okay too!  This ride is all about getting back into shape at an easy pace and if we like eventually moving up to a faster speed.

Sunset is 8:13pm.

Schedule for ride

5:30: Gather in the parking lot.

6:00: Ride Starts

8:00 Finish Riding - Need to leave before sunset (or the FP cops will give a ticket).

You must wear a helmet, and sign a waiver.  Also,  please be sure your bike is in good working order.

Hi SC, we waited until a little past 6, sorry we couldn't hook up. I didn't get a call on my cell so wasn't sure if you were going to make it. Hope you can make the next one!

That will probably be fine. This is a slow / casual ride. Beach cruisers were designed for a nice "stroll". Enjoy the ride!

I really like the idea of having peope to ride with at a little slower pace while I get started at riding again. Would love to know if anyone would be interested in doing this ride on any/all weekday mornings? I work nights, so rides aroud 9 would be perfect.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
