Kevin made some comments about the rise of interest in the mind altering mushrooms, here is a TEDx talk that speaks very well to the power of plants when used in a sacred manner:

Excellent hands-on and demo class! Kevin definitely knows his shrooms:)! Very thorough, patient, and able to comprehensively answer the myriad of questions posed by attendees--excellent teacher! The snacks and "soon to be spawn" take-homes were a double bonus. Could easily be a several day workshop if Kevin shares all that he wants to share of his vast mushroom propagating techniques. If you want to learn to grow shrooms--Kevin (and Trevor) is the guy to see!

Wonderful class, Keven Hovey filled in the gaps between the theory in books and the hands on practice in growing mushrooms.

This was an excellent presentation. We got all the information we needed to start growing mushrooms and the cultures and spores we received made it feel like Christmas!

Kevin did a great job presenting all the material and his knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject was inspiring. The space was great and the teas and healthy snacks were a treat. I can't wait to bring mushroom growing to life in my own garden and home.

A lot of great information and hands-on practice in a short amount of time. As a bonus, the location had nice comfortable couches and tasty snacks.

Please consider creating another workshop (in the afternoon) in the future for those that were not able to attend this one. I wanted to attend this one but thought I wouldn't be able to make it. Thanks for considering.

Quick note about the fun: Attendees who paid in advance reserve the limited mushroom cultures. All attendees will receive a great deal of practical know how and a broad range of fungi possibilities with examples and resources. Make sure you bring something with which to take notes! Light refreshments will be provided.

They have to be made using the purchase in advance link. :)

      February 13, 2013

  • Kevin H.

Yikes! Please use the link to guarantee a reservation. I will have to keep the workshop small due to supplies, time and logistics.

If all goes well I will post another date for the workshop to accommodate more people.

    Thanks!
