A Permaculture Primer (w/William Faith & Milton Dixon)

This 4-hour primer is a great introduction to permaculture, ideal for those who are curious and want to know more.

We will cover permaculture ethics and principles, why we need permaculture, and show real world examples of permaculture projects.

This is FREE to the public, but we do request that you RSVP ahead of time, as space is limited.

While we prime ourselves to new ideas, Permaculture itself may be a primer for more things to come.

As a complete noob to permaculture and anything in the permaculture spectrum I could not fathom how the information could have been delivered any more efficiently, effectively, and exciting than what William and Milton presented to us. I walked in only expecting to get some gardening tips with a generic "Go Green!" speech thrown in for good measure, but got a whole lot more than I bargained for. Will definitely go to another meeting.

I now know the importance of raising awareness to the issues that were spoke of in the 1st video but perhaps I am being pessimistic in saying that there is not currently enough being done to not only maintain, but improve the issues the world is facing and will continue to face if we continue down the destructive path we are going.

Extremely informative and clearly/enthusiastically-presented information. Highly recommended as an intro to permaculture to anyone who wants to know more, or who needs a refresher.

Just wanted to ask the organizer(s) if there is any possibility of a video feed? Saw this option mentioned in a few other places for meetup meetings and just had to ask if this could be an option (may also be helpful for those who want to attend once you are soon booked up) 3 of us would love to join, but could only do so remotely this time around.

Either way you decide to answer, thanks for considering it as an option!!!

That's a good idea but we're not prepared to make that happen in this case. Perhaps in the future?

Disappointed I will not be able to attend. I hope this repeats (as a free event too) soon.

Is anyone driving from the Andersonville/Uptown area? If so, please let me know if I can ride with you. Thanks!

I love to attend but I'm still in London but I'm over in April. will there be more in Permaculture in Garfield Pk coming up? Also as a complete Chicago novice. How easy is it to come down with public transport. I'm a keen walker ,cyclist . I hate to use a car
I've been told there are some no roaming areas, but maybe hear say.

We have no specific plans for other classes yet, but we're always coming up with something so I'm sure there will be future opportunities.
