Free: Bee Keeping Lecture with Marina Post

Bee Keeping can seem daunting what with all the equipment and knowledge to gain. Perhaps more critical to understanding what it means to take on this activity is forging a relationship with bees. In this class we'll explore the fundamentals of honey bees and keeping them as well as a different approach to how we think about keeping bees.

Suitable for beginners as well as seasoned bee keepers. Class Duration: 1 1/2 hours
Cost: $FREE

Marina gave a great presentation about the importance of our relationship with the bees that we would be stewarding. The piece on Mason Bees was really cool, too. I am going to put Mason Bees in my community garden by building a wall hive using log stumps.
