Compost Furnace and Greenhouse Build

Corey has invited us to come down an put together what he's calling a compost furnace. We're building a small greenhouse that's heated by a decomposing compost pile of wood chips and horse manure.  Using pipes embedded in a compost pile, he's able to keep his greenhouse heated into the spring.

Our group is joining forces with the Living Off the Grid meet-up group to build it one day.

There will be a potluck lunch, so bring a dish to pass.

I'm the Living off The Grid Organizer. Here are instructions for Sunday's meet-up. Because of the large expected turnout, we have arranged for parking at a neighbors house at 302 N Lincolnway (Rte 31). You may also park in the driveway next door at 216. It's a wide driveway, so park on the right side to allow let them get out.

We'll be eating at 214 N Lincolnway, 2 houses south. Take the food to the back door and we'll walk to the build site. Questions, call me at[masked]

Ellen, I would like a ride to Corey's. I live in Palos Hillls. If that sounds good, you can send me a message or call me[masked] so we can decide where to meet :).

Just checking, is 7 am the time we plan to arrive at Corey's or is there a carpool meeting and departing at that time?

I will be driving from the SW suburbs. If anyone else is attending from that area and would like to ride with me let me know.
