Herbal Workshop Series

This is the final installment of our herbal workshop series, in conjunction with the folks at Thai Bodywork. One of our members, Jennifer, took a series of weekend workshops with MI herbalist Jim McDonald and distilled each of those two days of knowledge into a two hour workshop. For this workshop one of Jennifer's classmates, Adam Broder, is going to be presenting his trip from Nicaragua to the meetup. Description from Adam --

In November I had the pleasure of traveling to Nicaragua for a clinical intensive work-study trip with a group of Medical Herbalists and Naturopathic Doctors. We went on plant walks, learned about the current state of natural healing in the country, and provided care to locals at a free clinic. It was an amazing experience and I'd like to share my photos and stories with like-minded people. It would be great to see you there!

Also, we do plan on continuing this series but are not sure the format yet. We're hoping to open to other topics and had a suggestion to create a meetup specifically for herbalism since there are people coming from so many different places.

I wasn't able to make the last couple of workshops and hated having to miss Adam's program but thanks so much to Jennifer for sharing her knowledge and experience with the rest of us.

Always a great educational experience as well as interesting getting to learn more about the topic. Getting to know others of a like-mindedness is also a nice benefit.

Hey Jeremiah, we've been reviewing information from an herbal medicine course that I and another member of the meetup, Jennifer, took last year in Michigan. On Monday I'll be giving a talk and slide show on the subject of a work-study-service trip I went on a few months ago in Nicaragua with a group of natural healers. Going forward the topics are open ended. We're creating a space for people to learn and share anything and everything surrounding the topic of using plants for healing.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
