Hi everyone! Don't hesitate to ask me questions regarding King's Hill Farm or the fundraiser party. Pass this along to anyone who may be interested.
This will be a great time for a great cause. I hope to see many of you!

Hi Remy. I posted this Save Our Farm event on Chicagoland Permaculture's meetup group because the farmers, Joel and Jai Kellum, are friends/acquaintances of many of us in this group from getting their produce from the Chicago farmers markets or from meeting them at a previous meetup at their farm. I have personal experience working on their farm for the past five months. That place is wonderful! Many examples of permaculture. The farm is in SW Wisconsin and is one of many locations that experienced devastating crop damage from the drought this summer affected many farmers around the Midwest region. I wanted to advertise this fundraiser to those like-minded individuals who want to show their support, whether they know them or not. They are in the city of Mineral Point - cool artsy little place amidst big ag. Anything else I can answer? :)

I highly recommend touring the farm if you can. It's beautiful and a great example of Permaculture design. Joel really knows his stuff!

Yes. Joel is immensely knowledgeable about permaculture, farming, tree planting, plant preservation, animal husbandry and assorted interesting tidbits (i.e. traditional apple picking and spruce-topping). Pick his brain!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
