Announcing a new Meetup for Chicago Martial Arts Club!

What: Saturday Outdoor Training - Lakeshore Between Pratt and Morse

When: June 21,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Hosted by Eric Miller:

We will meet at the park along the beach between Pratt and Morse. Specifically there is a tennis court at that location and we will meet on the east (lake) side of the tennis court.

1:30 to 2:00 will probably be the meet and greet ("Hi, I'm Skippy and I like to fight?etc?etc.."). At 2:00 we will be trainng outdoors and probably doing some light sparing, so dress appropriately, i.e. do not wear anything that has sentimental value as clothing can get damaged or stained from the grass, etc. I will bring some gear, but I'm not lugging my entire studio, so if you have any gloves / protective gear, please bring it. Remember to bring plenty of hydration, I do not know if any of the parks water fountains will be working properly

It will probably be hot, if you need sunscreen, use a sport variety that dosen't run when you sweat and do not wear any bug spray, as it tends to sting the eyes (which may just irritate a training partner).

We plan on doing some ground work, MMA, and whatever anyone else wants to work on, including weapons and some range changing exercises. . From downtown take the red line north to Morse, or from Lake Shore Drive go north to Sheridan and keep going north past Loyola U, still heading north passing under the viaduct you're just a couple of blocks from Pratt. Turn right onto Pratt or Morse and look for parking.
