K-9 Eggstravaganza

This annual Dog Easter Egg Hunt is so much fun for canines and people! It's a real family event. Each dog gets a colorful egg carton to fill up (thanks to a little help from a human companion). Then the eggs are turned in for prizes.

Every egg represents a treat--including dog toys, dog biscuits, and gift certificates. Plus there is a photo opportunity for your dog to pose (with or without family members) for a lovely spring portrait with the Easter Bunny.

Participating dogs must be leashed and well-behaved. Entry fee for the K-9 Egg-stravaganza is $10 per dog. Photos are $5 each.

Many thanks to Rex's Place  and  DOG Dog Obedience Group

for hosting this event. There is a free parking lot across the street. All money raised goes directly to the rescued rabbits at Red Door.

It was a really fun event! The egg hunt set up was superb with the different obstacles and tons of colorful eggs. It was my first time, so I wish things were a little more clearly labeled/laid out/explained. But, since it wasn't a huge space and the people working or volunteering there were pretty helpful/friendly, it was fairly easy to navigate. Plus, I know it's probably hard to find order amongst the canine chaos that happens with a lot of pups in one place at a time:) But, it was lovely and thanks to all who made it possible!

I too enjoyed the obstacles at the event and we were able to do a little "training" while having fun. The people were very helpful and friendly. And Pico even took well to the Easter Bunny.
