Just a reminder that THIS SATURDAY (8/22) is the first annual PUG CHUG, a fundraiser for NIPRA, hosted by Master Sommelier and Television Personality Alpana Singh, proud parent of Haruki Murakami, pug novelist and Certificate-level Sommelier. There's been an amazing response so far, and many have purchased their tickets, but I wanted to put the word out again in the hopes that we can get as many to attend as caininely possible.
I know it would mean a lot to Alpana if you could come out and support this incredibly important organization. (And drink some of these thirty wines available for tasting, bid on stunning silent-auction items--including a guest appearance on her hit PBS show, "Check, Please!" as well as dinner for you and your pug friends at Alpana's home--and chomp on a hand-dipped, made-to-order corn dog or three.) Many of us love processed meats, more of us love wine, and WE ALL LOVE PUGS. (I mean, right?) So, whaddya waiting for? Go register now, or show up at JUICY WINE COMPANY (694 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago) the day of and join in the ruffestivities.
Here's the link to the ticket-purchasing site: http://www.northernillinoispugrescue.org/Home2.asp.
Sign up today, and consider buying a ticket for a friend. If you don't attend for yourself, come on out for the love of pug.
P.S. Please forward this email to your lists and repost the NIPRA url to your Twitter and Facebook pages! Do it! The dogs would do it themselves, but they can't type!
