The Chicago Bach Ensemble performs Bach Cantatas!

We are posting as a free flowing concert series (3), so please read carefully. Member Luciano will be our Host for all (3) dates & locations. Thank You!

The Chicago Bach Ensemble is performing its fourth cycle of Bach Cantatas on Friday, April 19th, Saturday, April 20th, and Sunday April 21st at area churches. The program features the cantatas BWV 172, 6 and 21. Please join us to experience this inspirational music performed by some of Chicago’s finest musicians and singers. Vocal text and translations will be displayed on a screen during the concerts. We will again host pre-concert lectures with refreshments provided by Whole Foods Market South Loop, approximately 45 minutes before the concert performance time. Pre-concert lectures will be given by Mark Peters, Author and Professor of Music at Trinity Christian College.

    ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE CHURCH is located in Hyde Park at 55th and Woodlawn, just north of the University of Chicago campus and 4 blocks north of Rockefeller Chapel. From Downtown it is easily accessed by METRA / South Shore Line - about 12 min. from Millenium Park. Get off at 55th Street and walk WEST to Kimbark.
