Thanks to everyone who attended the Rush Hour Concerts season opener last Tuesday! Logistics aside, we hope you enjoyed the beautiful music. Look for the Make Music Chicago Grand Finale meetup coming soon!

The music was great but the logistics were totally unaccepatble. While the few other Meetup members I actually meet were enjoyable to talk with, it was so, so disappointing to not meet the rest. Consequently I'm giving this event three stars - five for the music and only one for logistics. As a matter of fact, I had to ask four different ushers before was I able to find the correct location for our reserved seats. Come on, if you ask for RSVP's then you (all of this groups' organizers) need to provide clear leadership as to what, where and when. Otherwise cancel the need to respond and simply act as a message board for future events.

The point of Meetup is to meet up with new people and mutually share common interests. In the future - as in next Wednesday - please try doing so. Afterall, we all love great music and it would be fantastic to share it with others as this group is supposed to do.

Thanks we appreciate the feedback. I think a sign would work well & I'll have one with me for the Botanical Gardens. Please know that we are all volunteering & trying to do our very best. Most venues, like the Cultural Center do not allow seat blocking at all. I will ask that all event hosts post a sign. Thanks again!

Totally agree. The is the 3rd event where I've had the same problem. The music was wonderful regardless of where I sat or who was sitting next to me, but I was looking forward to meeting other music lovers.

I did not see the message about the reserved seating section until after coming home the night of performance. I did meet and sat near one of the members. Next time someone should bring a sign with "Chicago Classical Music Events Meetup Group" so we all can see where to gather.

Very happy to have joined the Chicago Classical Music lover group. The season opener of the Rush Hour Concert series at St. James Cathedral this evening was a half an hour of heavenly joy. Cellist Brant Taylor accompanied by a pianist Kuang-Hao Huang, gave a flawless performance of Rachmaninoff Sonata for Cello and Piano in g minor.
Regretfully, I met none of the group's members. Perhaps I'll have the opportunity at the opening of the next concert at the Millennium Park. Still, grateful for the information about the classical music events in Chicago.

Could not locate the meetup people's seat.
Usher directed me to the left front seat but could not recognize anyone. :(

Arrrrgh, very frustrating: client emergency (these are rare, but it's a big client). Sorry I can't come to the concert this evening. I hope you're all enjoying it; see you another time!

Thanks for arranging seating. It's good that someone finally did something like this. Now we can actually "meetup" and get to know each other.

Because so many of you awesome people are attending, the Chicago Classical Music meetup group will have a reserved section for the concert on June 4! Bring a friend and walk right in.
