You are invited to a concert and picnic of Ensemble Dal Niente in Ravinia - Bernstein's Songfest based on the works of 13 American poets for the Bicentennial. Dal Niente is a Chicago-based leading contemporary music ensemble dedicated to the promotion and advancement of contemporary music, they have won the prestige Kranichstein Music Prize for International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt, Germany. I recently joined the board of the ensemble, and I am very excited about their work.
The concert starts at 2:00 PM in Martin Theater – the chamber concert hall in Ravinia. We will meet just inside of the Ravinia entrance from 1:30 to 1:45.
We planned to have a picnic after the concert with the board members and musicians after the concert, but it may have to be canceled due to the large crowd in Ravinia for the evening concert. I will update once we finalize the plan.
You can get tickets at http://www.ravinia.org/ViewDate.aspx?date=7/4/2013. Since this concert is held inside the Martin Theater, I suggest to buy the reserved seats, otherwise you won't be able to see the performers. Please feel free to contact me for questions.
