Church of Beethoven Oak Park: Music of Ravel and Kodaly on violin and cello

Church of Beethoven welcomes back Grant Street Quartet players Jennifer Leckie and Timothy Archbold for a morning of duet music on cello and violin. You may remember stunning performances at Church of Beethoven last year by the quartet, and then again by Archbold and his wife, who performed contemporary Australian music for cello and voice.

Church of Beethoven is a monthly Sunday morning arts series presenting classical music and poetry, followed by brunch at Eastgate Cafe.

July 21 program:

Sonata for violin and cello – Maurice Ravel [masked])
Allegro
Tres vif
Lent
Vif

Duo for violin and cello – Zoltan Kodaly [masked])
Allegro serioso, non troppo
Adagio – Andante
Maestoso e largamente – Presto

Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for children

Great to see this music up close, especially with the fireworks on the cello... So fun to have meetup members come and some joined us afterwards for brunch at Eastgate Cafe.
