L'Imbecile

In addition to paying the freight for this place :), I am President of the board of the Babes With Blades Theater Company. This spring's production is L'Imbecile, and it may be of interest to classical music fans. Why? Because the story is a gender-swapped version of Verdi's Rigoletto, but set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world. It's not an opera, but rather a play, but it's a neat adaptation of a classic tale.

Intrigued? I can see why. We are targeting one night of the show to fans of the opera. I'd love to see you all there!

Show starts at 8PM, but I will be there in the lobby to greet you beginning at 7:15PM.

Go here for tickets, which will be available starting on the 6th:

Totally my fault. Not sure where I go the North Ave directions from, mis type. I was disappointed I missed seeing all of you and the play.

I had the wrong set of directions. I was at 5779 W. North Ave. No such place. I stopped at the Dunkin Donuts and of course nobody has heard of that theatre. Disappointed, see you next time.

Cathy- I should've contacted you to go together. It would've been fun-next time.

My ticket should be at will call.

I will still be in attendance at the door, but I will probably not be going inside, as I have been battling a bit of a cough the least theater-friendly of minor maladies. However, I will be at the door/in the lobby before the show and at intermission, and I am open to arranging for a group chat afterward, although I am sure that at that hour, many will prefer to go right home.

Last minute signup--but this looks fantastic! Will attempt to purchase a ticket at the door, as I'm unsure of afternoon errands. Hope to see you all there this evening!

All those who are coming: Be sure you get tickets for the 8PM show and not the matinee. Well, you can go to the matinee, but I am only planning to host at the 8PM show. :) Let me know if you have gotten tickets, so I can verify availability with the box office. See you Saturday!

(I will be at the will call table to greet people. Just identify yourself as being with Chicago Classical Music Events).

This sounds great! I'm in for this but don't want to commit by buying a ticket in advance. I will be hunting fossils in the morning with Chicago Hiking, Outdoors, & Social Group, and will take my chances of buying a ticket at the door if I'm not too worn out from the hunt.
