On Sunday, March 2, 3:00p.m., the Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players present the finale of their concert series at the Union Church of Hinsdale, Romantic Spring: Mendelssohn and Brahms. Spend 60 minutes in bliss and enjoy two virtuoso piano trios! Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor was immediately hailed by Robert Schumann as “The master trio of the age.” Brahms’ Piano Trio No. 1 in B major was written when Brahms was only 21, but was reborn later in the composer’s life when he heavily revised it. This family-friendly concert is free to everyone 18 and under, and we invite everyone to come early for a music discussion at 2:50 p.m. Mingle with the performers after the concert at a casual reception with refreshments provided by Whole Foods Market Hinsdale. Performers will be Eric Weimer, piano, Heather Wittels, violin, and Eran Meir, cello.
Senior tickets (55+) are $10 advance and $15 at the door. Adult tickets are $15 advance and $20 at the door. 18 and under are free. Call[masked] or buy online at www.chicagophilharmonic.org
