Romance & Jazz - Evanston (featuring Howard Levy)

The Rembrandt Chamber Players begins its concert season with the Midwest Premiere of Grammy Award-winning artist and Flecktones founding member Howard Levy’s Sonata for Oboe and Piano, a kaleidoscope of jazz, abstract blues, and Brazilian rhythms. Mozart’s effervescent Quartet for flute and strings follows, as well as Bartók’s intricate and intense Romanian Dances (the first movement of which was influenced by melodies played by gypsy violinists in Transylvania). The lush and romantic music of Vaughan Williams’ Quintet for piano and strings closes the evening.

A little too expensive for me; would it be worth it to suggest to them that they offer a Senior rate. There's a lower rate for Students (probably because it is near Northwestern), but seniors have to be careful, too.
