This coming Sunday is the kickoff of Ricardo Muti as CSO's musical director. The concert is scheduled to begin at 5pm.
Since the seating is first come first served, please plan NOT to arrive just before the start of the concert, or the chances are there won't be space for you to sit with the group. I know people start arriving a number of hours beforehand, so we may end up sitting in more than one location. Just show up where the meetup details say and I'll take it from there.
If you need a reminder as to where we are going to be, please check out the meetup details on the Meetup website.
I'm planning on being in place by 3pm. Yes, 3pm. None of you certainly need to be there that early, but better safe than sorry with this concert. I'll have 1 or 2 other people with me, be sitting on a bright, royal blue blanket under the trees and a dark royal blue stroller will also be with me. Hopefully, that will help you identify me. Also, please note that my hair is much lighter than it is in my picture (summer does that), so don't look for a dark brunette!
Also remember, my cellphone will be on until the start of the concert. Once it starts, as courtesy to the other listeners and the musicians, it goes off.
Meet others who love the classical music! Attend concerts and events at locations throughout Chicagoland!
We recently had a new leadership group more in. The first thing I did upon taking the Organizer role is choose a qualified and classical-savvy co-Orgonizer. The second thing I did was read the group reviews. I am going to endeavor to make every event I attend one in which the group is easy to find and there is social time planned before and/or after the concert.
Stay tuned, and please provide any ideas that come up! If you know of a new event, feel free to contact any organizer so they can designate an event coordinator and post it to the group.
