The Legend of Zelda Symphony!

It's back! The Legend of Zelda Symphony is coming back to the Chicago Theatre. I'm opening this to let people know and for people to start talking about it. Who is going? Do we want to Meetup? If so, when and where? We are lucky that this year it's on a Friday night.

Journey back to the land of Hyrule with Second Quest, the next chapter in the acclaimed Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses world tour. This definitive Zelda experience converges on The Chicago Theatre on Friday, November 22!

I haven't been to a symphony in years. Hope nobody minds if I dress up for this occasion.

It wont be much just a dress shirt and some slacks.

Let me know if they sell soundtracks for this event. I went to a Legend Of Zelda concert back in July '12... I was surprised they didn't sell any for the concert. Then there was Play! back in '11 which covered many of the major video game franchises. People checked out the CD back for that concert, was surprised that there was no Super Mario Bros. nor some of the other franchises on there. The merchandise counter people just said "it's probably not on the CD then" :\, which it seemed turned off alot of folks.

When Steve and I went the past two times, I don't know if they had cd's but they had shirts and all. I know that they gave the copy of the original symphony in the Skyward Sword deluxe edition (or whatever they called it) when the game was first released.

I just got hit with some unexpected expenses, so I don't think I'll be able to show up to this one now. Have fun all.

Is anyone here familiar with the venue? How big are the seats, and are there areas with larger seats available? As a larger gentleman, I'd rather not pay for a ticket and then find out that I can't fit into my chair.

As a larger lady, I didn't find them completely uncomfortable. Slightly larger than an airplane seat... I would call the venue and ask for any accommodations if they have larger seats.

I've been going to venue for a few years now and even at some of my bigger weight I still fit fairly comfortable. I think I do remember my knees having trouble in the higher areas because of leg room. But I could be mistaken.

Bought my own tickets for early purchase. But looking forward to going to second quest as the first one was awesome. Hope to see you there :)

How do we handle ticket purchases? I take it we are assigned seats, correct? So how do we ensure we sit with the rest of the group?

    November 4, 2013

    • Robert H.

Ah okay I understand. so where do we usually meet with other members? Is there like a nearby restaurant or something?

      November 4, 2013

    • Amanda

There are areas around there to eat and drink, so most likely that'll be the best bet. We're currently working on this, so just stay tuned for some details. We'll probably shoot out a couple of things and take a vote. Again, I'm just helping with this as I'll be at a different concert that night but want to provide folks a chance to hang out if they want to. Last year it was on a Thursday (and rainy) and made it pretty sucky to hang out.

I think I'll go this year. Seems kind of prophetic this time around because this was the first meetup on the docket the day I signed up for the group.

I won't be attending this time, everyone. I've seen it twice already and I have tickets to Fitz and the Tantrums & Capital Cities that night instead. HAVE FUN!
