The SNES. It had quality games in just about every genre and category. Most SNES games with 2D sprite visuals still look good today. It was also an era before achievements, DRM, or DLC. There were no novelties sold for 99 cents, nor multi-million dollar productions that had to get excellent reviews and day one sales.

I'm not sure how I missed hearing about this group until now... I've been an active video game fan since 1988, even though my interest has wavered in the last few years. I'm interested in meeting other fans.
