I have been raising EE chickens and now I am getting pure Ameraucana's, Blue Marans, Buff Orps and Delawares. I will still have a few EE around. Love the blue eggs no need to dye they at easter.LOL
EE's, Buff Orps, Delawares, Blue Splash,Cuckoo and Blue Cooper Marans,
I only have a few here in Lithia Springs. I hatched a lot of babies for the Remember the Farm Event but they will not be staying here. Most of my chickens live on our big 80 acre farm in Wedowee, AL. I also have a small farm in Villa Rica.
Getting fresh eggs. Then hatching them and watching the chicks grow. I love to fill the incubator and watch what happens. NO MORE HATCHING FOR THE YEAR.
Off and on since I was about 13.
My cousin made a bet with me when I was about 13, that I could not catch his chicks. He knew I would get flogged by the hen. If I caught them I could have them. So I caught 6 of them and brought them home with me. I was hooked!
I think this meet up group is great. I have had chickens and birds for many years and still I feel like a newbie at times. I am learning right along with everyone else. With out them to chat with I would feel very alone in this.

I am thinking and have decided to raise Salmon Faverolles. I was down in South Fla and picked up three chicks,(2 or 3 days old) Their about 3 wks old now. I hope one is a rooster, the other two look like pulletts. They are so small who knows? Anyway, back to my question. I want to know how I know it's the real Salmon Faverolles, not mixed? If you know and know how I get them, thank you bunches. Will you be going to Calhoun for the show on Sept.10? We are.
