Introduction
I have pet chickens!! I want to get to know other chicken lovers! And I want to be able to share my experiences. Other people see dinner, I see a friendly pet.
What breed of chickens do you own?
A Wyandotte, Aruacana, and a temp. Barred Rock rooster
How many chickens do you own?
I have two hens and a temporary rooster. I had raised four chicks, but somebody's irresponisble neighbor's dog murdered three of them...
What do you like most about owning chickens?
Soooo amusing, and sweet! I could watch them run around all day, scratching around the yard. There is something so innocent and sweet about them. All they want to do is peck and be happy. Eggs are a good bonus too..
How long have you owned chickens?
I grew up with chickens my whole life, but I had a pet chicken I carried around when I was younger, and there is nothing like it. I am finally able to have pet chickens again. Yay!
How many people (other than yourself) have you helped get started owning chickens?
My husband, and my in-laws. Tryin to talk other people into it, but they look at me like I'm crazy.
