Are you seeking outdoor adventures near Chico-Oroville and the surrounding areas?

I have been a member and organizer of Northern California Outdoor Adventurers since the beginning of its creation in December of 2008. In March of 2010 I created this group closer to my home in Oroville in order to offer many more outdoor adventures for those of us in Butte County and surrounding areas.

The desire is to bring others together with similar interests and to safely adventure together in self-propelled, non-motorized outdoor activities: hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, road bicycling, mountain biking, kayaking, moonlit hikes, cultural events, and anything else that volunteer organizers may want to contribute.

All I ask is for you to become a member of the group, voice your desires, and say yea or nay to RSVPs on the calendar .

Becoming a member will allow you to have full access to the website and calendar. If you are not a member, please click on the upper right hand toolbar that says "join us" and fill out the profile.

Please do not advertise, or post links to profit making enterprises. I have zero tolerance and consider it spam.  You will be banned and reported as spam.

You can however become a sponsor by contacting the administrators (Myself or Gary L)  This is an Outdoor Group, and it's primary objective is a place to participate with friends in the outdoors.

COOA needs people to step up, help out, and put events on the calendar. I welcome members to become event organizers! Feel free to contact me if you would be interested in additional participation as an event organizer. I do ask that prospective organizers attend a COOA Meetup event, and meet with one of the founders before becoming an organizer.

This can be a terrific place to make new friends, enjoy great experiences and get outside! Hope to Meetup with you soon!

By joining you agree to the Disclaimer below.

Miles of smiles,

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
