3d artist, just moved to town this month.
Currently without work permit, but, while I'm waiting for it to go through, I was looking to get something indie started.  Looking for people in the chicago area who are up to forming a team to get a project together. Platform, engine, and all are completely up for discussion.
It's been a while since I've worked in small teams, but of late I've found I miss it.  Six to Ten people, getting a small project off the ground.
 
I've shipped quite a few projects over the last decade. All of them were for someone else... what I'm looking for, really, are partners. People who are willing to meet up every week or so, collaborate daily over IM and wiki.  Be willing to work on a project with proper task management and version control. Make something that's ours, rather than a publishers. Be it on steam, impulse, the app store, whatever.
There's plenty of options out there.
