“ Excellent Group! My spoken Mandarin Chinese is improving due to my membership in this Meetup Group and the other two Chinese Groups. ”

“ The meeting worked out fine because Christine organized us into groups. The participants were diverse and interesting. We divided ourselves roughly into beginners, interediate and advanced groups, but we were free to move around. It seemed that conversations sprouted everywhere between two or more people. I heard a lot of Chinese being spoken and methods being discussed. There was interesting exchange about literature and study books, even free online sources and lessons that looked very valuable to me. ”

“ The group was amazingly diverse with all ranges of chinese speakers. First meetings are always tough. Hopefully that improves with repeated meetings. I intend to meetup with the group on Feb. and see if my experience will be any better. ”

“ they need a extensive course in chinese and almost impossible to be understood and too concern about reading while not even mastered the art of conversation yet. ”

“ my motivation is to work on my language skills, and the group is predominantly english speakers, and mandarin speakers who don't insist on speaking mandarin. as a result, I don't feel that I get much out of the group towards my main goal of improving my mandarin. ”
