Provinces of China - Zhejiang

This meetup is intended for the young-at-heart traveler who is eager to learn more about the beautiful country of China, all while speaking and practicing Mandarin.

So far we have visited Jiangsu, Sichuan, Hebei, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Heilongjiang, Anhui, and now we take a plane to our 9th province:

Zhejiang Province

11:00 am - We leave our luggage at our 5-star hotels and now hungry for brunch. We meet at Teaism, our favorite eatery. The manager is happy to see us and has reserved the Platform at no extra cost. Please be a good guest and purchase $8.00 minimum food/drink.

11:30 am -12:30pm - Together we learn about Zhejiang. A fact sheet will be given out to help you. If you have visited the area, tell us about it! Beginners, Intermediate and Fluent Speakers are all welcomed! Add to the conversation and education with books, photos!

Find Zhejiang, major cities on the large China map.

12:30 pm - You will have a chance to introduce yourself. Participate in the fun with your "Zhejiang Factoid." Fellow travelers will help you with this if you are not familiar with it.

1:30 pm - Time to socialize, mingle! We walk over to the Smithsonian Freer/Sackler for 3 events, Xu Bing Nine Deaths, Two Births Phoenixes, Soaring Phoenix Kite-making Workshop for children 8-14 (sign up separately, see event posted) and Viva Erotica Hong Kong Filmfestival PG.

Fees: None. Thank you to members who attended the Chinese New Year Meetup Feb 9, who paid for all fees for the website for the entire year.

Our group is for anyone interested in the language and culture of China. We have had families and children, although the parents/friends have to work a bit harder to keep the children engaged. If you are beginner, intermediate or advanced/native speaker, you are perfect for this group and will help to contribute to the learning. Most members enjoy the practicing of Mandarin and the social aspect. We have many members going to China and returning to tell of how China is constantly changing. Join the fun!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
