Provinces of China - LIAONING

Ni Hao, Fellow Travelers,

Grab your backpacks and luggage, as we are still traveling around China! So far, we have visited Jiangsu, Sichuan, Hebei, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Heilongjian, Anhui, Zhejiang, Shandong and now we are enroute to: LIAONING PROVINCE

11:00am - We meet at our favorite eatery, Teaism. Lela, the manager is happy to see us. She has reserved the downstairs platform at no charge, so please be a good guest and purchase $8.00 minimum food/drink at her establishment. (please do not bring in food/drink). Enjoy a delicious meal!

11:30am- It's open seating so sit with your friends or sit at the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced/Native Speaker tables. You will have a chance to rotate and meet new conversation partners. If you have traveled to Liaoning, you will be the special guest speakers at each table. Share your story!

12:00 - 12:45pm - Learn about Liaoning, find it on the large map! You will be given a fact sheet to get you started in the conversations. Speak Mandarin at your own level. No pressure, just fun!

12:45 - 1:30pm - Introduce yourself to the group, socialize, mix and mingle!

(This will be the last of the Provinces of China meetups for 2013. Due to the upcoming holiday season, we will continue in 2014 and learn about the different regions and cultural aspects of other provinces).

1:30pm AFTER MEETUP - Evelyn will walk over to Smithsonian Freer Sackler for self-guided tours of ongoing exhibits. Join the walk over, ONLY 10 MINUTES TO MALL, MUSEUMS ARE OPEN!

*********************************************************************

Fees: None, due to members who attended the Chinese New Year Meetup in Feb. Enough fees were collected to pay for the meetup website for the entire year. Xiexie!

Namebadges: Bring your own if you have it. Write your name in English and Chinese characters.

Check-In: Be sure you check your name on the list.

***If you would like to help meet & greet, come early and let the organizers know. We need a volunteer to do a Liaoning fact sheet in Chinese characters. If you have an educational game or tip that encourages learning we would welcome it:)***

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
