I have studied Chinese for 2 years, 1 of which was spent in China. I have also lived in Japan. I enjoy all kinds of food, adventuring, and spending time with friends. I will be a graduate student in DC from this fall.
Where does one even start? If in Dongbei, 地三鲜，if in Sichuan, 鱼香茄子 or 重庆火锅, and when geography isn't an issue, I'm always good for some 红烧肉.
I speak intermediate-level Mandarin.
Language exchange meet ups, cultural-focused events, general social activities, networking events.
Insider info on the best Chinese eateries in DC.
I grew up outside of Boston and learned Chinese through standard education and life experience in China.
