Salty fish rice, sweet and sour red bell pepper, Beijing sauce beef, tomato egg, lamb bbq sticks, hot pot just to name a few but I will try anything once :)
upper intermediate. Frankly I get nervous around native speakers but I am working on that!
Cultural events, movies, happy hours, eating or just hanging out doing free stuff. As long as I can practice my spoken Chinese I am happy.
The opportunity to use my Chinese/learn new words and phrases that would be useful.
I grew up in a small town in Arkansas. I learned Chinese in college but my interest in the language began in high school when I had a pen pal from Singapore. I learned most of my Chinese in Sichuan and Taiwan.
I have been a student of Chinese sporadically since 2002. I lived in Chengdu, Sichuan for one year and in Taiwan for three months. I am SUPER excited about making new friends who share my same passions.
My first meetup and I hosted it! LOVED IT!
