What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?

紅燒牛肉湯麵. 辣子雞. 鹽酥雞. 所有的魚類,豆瓣醬,花椒,苦瓜, 湘菜 . Reddish cheeks and tears running down my face. And I love TARO.

How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)

I've been around Chinese for most of my life. 可通話,半同化了

What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?

Events must somehow involve Chinese food. Everything else is just a bonus. I also get excited watching mandarin movies that have food scenes in them.

What could this group provide for you that no other Meetup could?

It's enjoyable to engage with people with similar interests or life experiences. We have something in common but each person brings a unique perspective. Our interaction allows us to see issues in a new light, and with new insights.

Where did you grow up? How did you learn Chinese? Tell us your story.

A lot of international exchange as a kid. Then studied about 6 years of Chinese at university level. Was in Taiwan and PRC for several years for various work and study.

What Andy is saying about this Meetup Group

This club does not teach you Chinese but it's a place to speak the Mandarin you already know- beginner to native speaker.
