Hi folks,

Gena is opening her house for our next potluck event. Same format, we will eat first and play later (Wii, cards, movies, games and etc.)

Gena lives in Inver Grove Heights, 55076. I will email her address to you a day before the event. It's about 25 min from DT Minneapolis and 20 min from St. Paul.

See you in 2 weeks!

Oh, let us know what you will bring to this event

Gena & Eric are awesome hosts. The food was delicious. All guests are very friendly, open but polite, and nobody bashes anything. Tim is rich in culture & experience. Thx 2 Tony who brought along Shen & Igal. I enjoy conversing with Cindy's daughters: Kylie & Adrea plus Karen and Louis. It was such a memorable evening. Xie xie nimen dou.

I thought this was a great meeting. The immersion idea didn't quite work out, but I'd like to give shout outs go to Louis and Shen for speaking to me in Chinese and also to Gena for playing a Chinese VCD and for hosting a great event.

Is anyone coming interested in some chilly peppers (jalapeno etc)? My sister left a couple big plants that have lots of pepper on them. If so i'll have some ready for you when you come. These are really spicy peppers. Girlfriend of mine that loves spicy food couldn't take more than a pinch in her food.

Also there are a couple of dice and card game ideas - I will bring cards and dice just in case. I do not know how to play Mario Kart, but my group is probably more than willing to learn.

I have asked one person in our group to bring a board game and I asked that he attempt to bring a game which is the lease intense of all his games. Otherwise we are in the hands of the coordinator.

Ni Hao. Trying to see what people are interested in doing. Is anyone interested in playing Mario Kart on Wii or do people want to play other games. Is anyone bringing games to share?

I also like the immersion idea. I am a beginner. I forgot to mention what I will bring. I have a good chicken fried rice recipe I can bring. That is all I can cook right now! Maybe I can get some more ideas when I am there.

Hi. I would like to make this an immersion experience for beginner Chinese speakers. If you're a native Chinese speaker, I request that you only speak Chinese for the first hour and half. (no worries we'll be eating most of that time ;) White board to draw, internet, and dictionary will be provided to assist with non-Chinese speakers in communication. I think this will be a great way to learn and have fun.
