Chinese Workshop Apr. 27: "Sunday Picnic Series 9" - Chinese "Gender Roles"
Back by popular demand, we are revisiting some of our most popular lessons. If you have missed them the first time around, here's your chance - and maybe the last one - to catch them! Kat is leaving for China in May, and may stay there for up to a year. We are counting down to the last 10 lessons. The Workshop will then close down. So ask all your Mandarin questions before she goes!
What is the difference between 'Xiaojie' and 'taitai'? And what kind of endearment do Chinese use? What about the gender reference in the family, at work, and as common expressions? Where does homosexuality and transgender issues come in?
We will discuss all of this and chat about the Chinese style of dating! Please note that this event meet at 4pm on a Sunday. Don't forget to bring food and drink to share!
