There will be a no-cholesterol vegan sushi meal that is not on their regular menu and nondairy gluten-free vegan ice cream.
A documentary Mandarin-language film with English subtitles ("Seeds of Hope" by Wendy Pinyen Shieh of Cambridge) will be shown at this event FOCUSED upon food,film, friendship, and fun.
The movie topic is Mandarin-speaking vegetarian orphanages in Africa, started by Mandarin-speaking Chinese Buddhists who found ways to teach Mandarin reading, writing, and speaking to thousands of the African double orphans who were orphaned by W.A.R. - war, AIDS, and revolution. Social workers, therapists, parents, and educators are encouraged to attend.

Group members are also allowed to (re)present their work, jobs, advocacy ideas (e.g. Vegan Outreach), and business ideas. If you have your own business (or business ideas) and would like to present your business plan during this meetup, please contact me. Let me know if you have a PowerPoint presentation or literature to distribute.
