Couldn't find all the people who signed up on the list; two others hadn't signed up either here OR with BVS. That's not how the event was set up, and it was confusing to BVS for folks to not sign up online (though each of them DID save the $1.60 processing fee by paying Grasshopper directly). Had in interesting conversation, and those we found were able to meet Wendy Shieh, who had produced "Seeds of Hope" (about the Mandarin-speaking orphanages in Africa).

There are two seatings. Each seating requires a PRIOR reservation from BVS at http://www.brownpapertickets.co...

When you register, INDICATE on your comments to BVS that you are with the Mandarin meetup. Then, you can ALSO post a QUESTION to Evelyn Kimber of BVS on the BrownPaperTickets.com site.

I will meet BOTH groups. I PREFER that everyone from this group register for the 12:30 pm seating, but there is also a 2:00 pm seating, listed for your convenience, and I will meet with that group (also) and guide that group to the meetup table.

To BE at the Meetup table, you will want to ARRIVE EARLY because we cannot save seats in a crowded environment for very long.

The dinner cost is $19.10 (includes tax, tip, and dinner (not buffet; served to us in courses). We have 90 minutes to eat; therefore, the 12:30 pm diners WILL be there (unless they rush and leave) for the arrival of the 2:00 pm diners (and will want to meet them).

Sorry - 2.5 hours may be enough. We won't be rushed at either seating UNLESS one is VERY slow eater.

OK if you're meeting the members and seating together to speak Mandarin, ok to keep this event posted. Any future vegetarian/vegan activities, feel free to post on Message Board as fyi to our group, rather than as an Event in this Meetup! Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
